I am a technology enthusiast, researcher and educator that continually explore new ideas and challenges related to Industrial Revolution 4.0 in construction - I am currently assistant professor at The School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society, Heriot-Watt University, Malaysia.
During my career in higher education, I have the special opportunity to educate students from different professional programs such as architecture, civil engineering and quantity surveying. This unique experience enables me to better understand the whole construction life cycle and process, later inspired me to explore BIM as a game-changing approach to integrate and transform construction industry.
Passionate in e-Learning, especially the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), I have started and led 2 MOOCs - 'Building Information Modelling 101' and 'Building Information Modelling 202' in Openlearning with more than 7000 students who are mostly practicing professionals in the construction industry.
To date, my collaborators and I actively work with researchers and multi-national industry professionals from the UK, Australia, Ireland, China, Taiwan and Singapore. Some of my works have won awards such as Best Presenter in 4th International Building Control Conference (IBCC) 2016 and Diamond Award in Invention, Innovation and Design (IID) competition 2014.
